PURPOSE

This role is responsible for defining and implementing the role testing plays within the organizational structure. The manager must manage and implement or maintain an effective testing process which involves creating a test infrastructure that supports robust communication and a cost effective testing framework. The key responsibility of the Test Manager is to ensure quality delivery through the implementation and maintenance of such test processes.

KEY ACCOUNTAIBILITIES

Governance
  • Provide overall governance of the UAT
  • Provide and implement overall UAT Operating Model and ensure Operating Model is maintained across projects
  • Meet project schedule timeline
  • Deploy and manage the appropriate testing framework to meet the testing mandate
  • Ensure Requirement Traceability in test scope

Operational
Test Planning and Management:
  • Create UAT Strategy
  • UAT Resource demand supply management
  • Estimation for UAT
  • Create UAT test Plan including test matrix and test cycle planning
  • Identify dependencies and participants required to mitigate the risks to system quality and obtain stakeholder support for this plan
  • Define the scope of testing within the context of each release / delivery
  • Planning, deploying, and managing the testing effort for any given engagement / release
  • Arrange the Hardware and software requirement for the Test Setup
  • Co-ordinate intra-project testing effort
  • Communicate test planning decisions
  • Capturing and reporting changes correctly and consistently
  • Provide Business Readiness Support and Live provisioning

Test Execution Management:
  • Manage and execute test plan, cycle and test matrix
  • Test resource task assignment and management
  • Co-ordination of UAT with regular reporting to Programme/Project Manager and key stakeholders
  • Facilitate and consolidate test scenarios, test cases and test data based on Business Process
  • Quality Assurance on Test Plan and results
  • Drive metrics collection to quantify the benefits derived out of the updated testing methodology, tools and environment usage

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree
  • A relevant formal certification in insurance related qualification is desirable
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Test Lead/Manager in a General/Life Insurance environment

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITY
  • Deep knowledge of Test Management methodologies, tools, process and procedures
  • Highly experienced in UAT techniques
  • Highly experienced in in managing test cycles with track record of quality delivery
  • Proficient in business and financial analysis and business case development
  • Highly experienced in requirements traceability and defining test scenarios and test scripts
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience of managing individuals on a day-to-day basis
  • Good relationship management skills
