The Role Responsibilities

Financial Performance and profitability
Directly responsible for product P&L globally, and support the origination process as required. Have clear responsibility over pricing for all products and management of assets, contingents and for the allocation of RWA
Monitoring market changes and pricing strategies across markets.
Drive revenue and asset initiatives centrally in conjunction with regional teams by ensuring that regional action plans are in place and revenue targets are achieved
Determine standard product pricing and monitor collection of fee and NII across products
Develop a Product strategy to meet global objectives, in line with the overall Transaction Banking strategy, for the products managed.
Conduct ongoing competitor analysis to capture the opportunities, mitigate the threats and deliver financial performance. Recommend and plan actions to build or reinforce our competitive edge
Drive end to end product performance, improving efficiency through the e-agenda, straight through processing, ensuring scalability to grow

Product Management and Development

Directly responsible for articulating the product strategy and executing product initiatives on the annual operating plan globally.
Directly responsible for understanding customer needs through feedback from Sales teams and developing client value propositions that will address them across all client segments
Support launches of product enhancements, new products, channels or new platforms as required. Work jointly with regional Sales and Marketing to develop collaterals for various markets, commercialize product launches, and develop a commercialization strategy to ensure that the new products meet planned volume and revenue targets
Ensuring global training initiatives are executed across all regions in line with the global commercialization agenda.
Identify and market-size new business opportunities and revenue pools and articulate the product capabilities needed to seize a share of them

Commercialisation

Directly responsible for commercialization of new product capabilities by ensuring commercialization plans, targets and infrastructure to maximize success for it launch
Assist the sales teams to provide business solutions for complex deals or RFPs
Directly responsible for driving the TBFX agenda across identified markets, including training local product and operations teams and monitoring TBFX API utilization across markets.
Design product packs and training decks which can help support and provide training as required to TB sales, CIC and GTO staff to facilitate the closure of large or complex deals.
Maintain client interactions to obtain a pulse on key markets and to understand changing client needs.

Leadership

Be a market advocate for Documentary Trade participating and representing the Bank in industry bodies and market forums.
Promote our external profile with clear communication of our vision and market leading capabilities via media interviews, industry forums, written articles.
Be recognized as a subject matter expert, particularly in topics relevant to Trade Finance and for the Bank such as (but not exclusive) RMB, Digitizationamong others, continuously driving leading-edge product development and market solutions.

Risk & Governance

Ensure timely renewal of PPGs and proactively work with stakeholders to identify and quantify new and existing risks.
Identify and mitigate the Operational, Credit, Regulatory and Business conduct risks relating to products managed globally.
Work with operations to improve overall service standards and to ensure that quality of service to customers remains superior to competition
Review and provide support to any regional memos/proposals drafted by local counterparts, and table them to the Trade PGC for review/approval.

Our Ideal Candidate

Graduate with at least 4-5 years of trade finance experience, good understanding of imports, exports, letters of credit and strong excel, powerpoint, verbal & written communication and analytical skills.
