Reporting directly to the Head of Brand Strategy with a dotted line to the Head of Marketing, APAC and based in Singapore, this individual will manage and originate high-quality design activity and be principally focused on servicing the requirements of APAC Marketing. The role will entail strategic design, concept development and execution.

Brand development

  • Work with internal and external partners to contribute to the strategic and creative development of the company’s Marketing and branding efforts; serve as the primary brand ambassador for APAC to ensure consistency of application and adherence to brand guidelines

 

Design Origination

  • Predominantly work with APAC Marketing, the Digital team, outside vendors and writers and to manage and develop expressions of the brand
  • Ensure online and offline resources and deliverables are engaging, persuasive and based on rationale
  • Operate in an efficient, professional manner to ensure creative output remains ahead of competition
  • Work collaboratively with all internal areas of the business and make recommendations to meet market changes and support strategic plans
  • Prioritize and translate client needs into powerful and differentiated strategic brand concepts, messages

 

Design Production

  • Serve as the internal APAC lead for design production and oversee any outsourced work to other agencies utilized  across APAC

 

Audio Visual             

  • Work with APAC Marketers and other business partners in Digital, Investment and Product Marketing, etc. to develop and enhance audio/visual offerings

 

Performance

  • Benchmark the company vs. competitors and drive constant improvement in qualities and capabilities
  • Maintain consistently high standards across all levels of Design
  • Manage and quality control art direction, design and production

 

Key Attributes for the Role

 

  • Articulate and engaging with a solid grasp of the company’s brand; high attention to detail; data visualization skills
  • Delivery orientation and creative flair; confident presenting concepts and design proposals
  • Solid understanding of UX and client/customer behaviour so that design solutions align with behavioural insight
  • Planning, time-management and follow-through; attention to detail and quality control mind-set
  • Experience managing and motivating staff with passion, enthusiasm and ambition
  • Understanding of marketing communication strategies and the company’s business (Channels, products, etc.)
  • Ability to judge creative concepts and copy, and clearly communicate direction to others
  • Understanding of clients and marketing communication production and latest digital trends, typography, colour theory (regional considerations) and layouts
  • Understanding of interactive media production, web authoring and image manipulation tools as well as new and developing technologies (wireless, mobile, RFID, Ajax, Jquery); full Mac suite proficiency (InDesign, etc.)
  • Knowledge of mobile delivery platforms (iOS, Android, Windows Phone etc); video editing skills a plus
  • Knowledge of relevant legal/regulatory requirements and impact of any breach of the company

 

Key Skills

 

  • Experience in both B2C and B2B marketing / sales/product / IT environments
  • Operated successfully in a complex, fluid and matrixed environment
  • A clearly proven track record of marketing achievement; advanced commercial acumen
  • Exceptional project management skills and ability to drive a range of marketing initiatives
  • Exposure to print process, video production and web design
  • 10+ years’ experience relevant Marketing/Communications
