Our client is a leading Private bank with strong presence across Asia Pacific and is looking for a Director Credit Approver to support the team in Singapore. The Credit Approver role is a new hire within the team due to business expansion and we are looking for a strong candidate with 9 plus years of experience with background in Private Banking Credit Approving.
Key Roles and Responsibilities of the Director Private Banking Credit Approver:
- Approve/Review banking credit products
- Contribute credit comments and recommendations for non-standard credit applications and request to higher authority while not compromising credit standards and regulatory compliance
- Review credit guidelines and new credit product approvals with relevant stakeholders Work with Credit team to ensure credit structure are within policies and guidelines
- Work with stakeholders to facilitate and evaluate approval process
- Assign and conduct reviews on advance ratios for marketable securities within relevant guidelines and policies
Requirements of the Director Private Banking Credit Approver:
- At least 9+ years of experience in banking credit experience or a related field
- Credit evaluator/ Credit Approver in Private Banking background is preferred
- Ability to work under pressure in a tight timeline to ensure deliverables
- Strong technical skills and a strategic mindset and business acumen
- Excellent stakeholder management, and a keen eye for detail
- Any ad hoc projects in the Credit approving scope as required
