Responsibilities

•Provide the strategic management and direction for the branch management teams

•Identify and develop individual branch sales and service targets that will achieve the overall Area business objectives

•Develop and implement Area sales and operations plans to achieve sales volumes and product mix and business quality to support financial growth objectives for the Area

•Ensure resources across branches are effectively managed, utilised and distributed; staff are rotated to develop individuals

•Develop a firm understanding of the customer base and operating complexities that exist within each of the branches within the Area and manage them accordingly

•Set, review and communicate sales targets to the Branch Business Managers in line with the overall business targets laid down for the Area

•Ensure that the sales and quality targets are met through the planning of sales initiatives

•Read and digest the weekly sales targets and provide coaching and direction to the Branch Business Managers to ensure targets are achieved

•Liase with Head office on new campaign and new product launches

•Ensure that the Branch Operations Managers have the required level of support and direction to achieve standards but within the 80:20 sales and service related activity division

•Drive the new sales and service culture through the Area to meet the overall Bank strategic goals

•Ensure the staff are operating as teams within the Area and striving to outperform targets to be the best Area within the DBS network

•Communicate changes in Bank policy and procedures that materially effect the Area activities

•Hold regular communication sessions with the management team at Head Office, Area management team, Area staff through a mix of formal communications and visits.

•Be close to the market and be aware of competition activities, and work towards staying ahead of them

•Assist the Branch Operations Managers in the recruitment of high quality resources

•Ensure that the Area management team leverage off the experience and knowledge of the BD

•Ensure the Branch Operations Managers provide continuous coaching and personal development to enable staff to reach the required standards of performance and maximise staff potential

Requirements

•Degree/Profressional Qualification (CFP) with a minimum 8 years of relevant experience

•Good organisational skills, of self and others

•Strong interpersonal skills

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills

•Analytical/problem solving ability

•Sound understanding of competitors and their activity in the market place

•Sound understanding of Financial Services to include a working knowledge and application of compliance and T&C regulations

•Proven success leading sales management teams

•Relevant experience in development of high performing managers
