Financial Crime Risk is a Global Function that brings together all areas of financial crime risk management at HSBC and is dedicated to implementing the most effective global standards to combat financial crime. The function has been set up in a way that enables us to build on our achievements in managing financial crime risk effectively across the bank and continue to strengthen financial crime detection, anti-money laundering, sanctions and anti-bribery and corruption compliance.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as VP, Financial Crime Compliance, Private Banking .

Principal responsibilities

  • ​Ensures that technical support and advice on AML compliance and Sanctions matters are conducted in an effective and timely manner and more importantly in line with the relevant legislation and regulations
  • Ensures the continuous and effective engagement with the relevant businesses in the Bank , understanding their objectives and goals and ensuring quality service to them at all times
  • Assists Private Banking FCC Head in facilitating the establishment of an effective compliance structure within the Bank
  • Assisting Private Banking FCC Head in managing operational risk, including its identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting to the FCC Head.
  • Engaging the business units in order to gain a deeper understanding of their objectives and goals.
  • Fostering an effective relationship with the business units in order to facilitate the inculcation of a compliance culture.


Qualifications
Requirements
  • Significant experience in a financial crime compliance
  • Familiarity with private banking or Singapore anti money laundering laws and regulations
  • Good communication skills
