VP, Operations Planning Team Lead, IBG Operations Management & Control, Technology & Operations
Business Function Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels. Responsibilities - Drive and manage country strategy and maintain ongoing oversight & tracking of country achievements, quarterly to half-yearly scorecard management
- Strategic communications including story-boarding, justifications, leverage quantitative data to support new budget (including headcount and financials)
- Strategic cost management and drive thematic initiatives to achieve business objectives
- Manage a team and provide directions and accountable for timely & quality deliverables
- Evaluate financial performance, perform variance analysis, identify trends and recommend actions
- Preparation of annual budget plan, inclusive but not limited to data collation, cleansing, shaping, and analysis
- Drive business review and strategy presentations to senior management team, and demonstrate strong understanding of the financial, HC, budget management process & numbers through explanation of key drivers
- To drive operational analytics, set up operating framework and plan to generate insights for actionable improvements in Operation productivity and efficiency
- To prepare monthly operations volume, productivity & capacity insights (MTK insights) to keep management team updated on overall health of department's resourcing and capacity, and drive action for continuous productivity improvements
- To plan & execute ad-hoc or periodic review of operation metric recalibration exercise & seek management endorsement on scope and timeline
- To work closely with various function HODs, and regional finance and ensure ongoing alignment
Requirements - Degree holder in Finance, Accounting, or Economics with minimum 12 to 15 years of relevant work experience in strategic business management, financial planning and analysis
- Minimum 5 years of banking operations background, and team lead experience with ability to navigate in a complex environment and achieve outcome
- Excellent numeracy, analytical and language skills required
- Strong management and communication skills with passion to help business with a 'can-do' attitude
- Flexibility, resourcefulness and ability to multi-task where required
- Possesses a results-driven mindset with strong ability to deliver under tight deadlines
