VP, Testing Lead

Job Objective:
  • Perform high quality manual testing and automated testing for the Retail & eChannels applications (internet and mobile)
  • Drive consistency and standardisation in the test planning, test cases definition, execution, reporting and test management
  • Design various tests including functional (developer integration test, systems integration test), performance, operator acceptance and infra validation,
  • Design and execute effective test plans
  • Works with Development and Business Analysts to ensure appropriate documentation and other preparedness to support QA efforts.
  • Works closely with collaborative teams to compile and maintains all elements of test projects, including schedules, costs, work activities, resources, risks, results, manages communications to stakeholders including management/executives
  • End to End view of testing across applications

Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead and drive a team of test engineers to design/develop and execute manual and automated test cases to verify the functional and non-functional requirements of the system
  • Build configurable/parameterised test frameworks instead of test code/rewrite for each release
  • Ensure traceability of test cases to requirements for all test types
  • Define test cases, test suites and test data for execution
  • Define test cases for non-functional areas including performance, infrastructure, security, operator/admin acceptance
  • Use and manage vendor augmented resources and ensure work assignments for high utilization and effective, quality outcomes while avoiding re-work
  • Communicate with technical and non-technical resources and work with limited direction while being highly productive
  • Test Case Outcomes - govern that all outcomes are tracked and evidenced for test conducted. Accountable to ensure there is mapping to Business Requirements. Ensure evidence of lineage to actual FRS, Acceptance Criteria, expected outcomes, etc.
  • Analyse performance test results, vulnerability assessments and any other test related issues that arise during projects
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
  • Assist the project team in issue resolution to meet the requirements and timelines

Job Requirements:
  • Degree with at least 10 years of testing experience
  • 5+ years of experience using functional testing automation tools
  • Experience of complete software development lifecycles - waterfall and agile project experience
  • Sound understanding of retail banking and knowledge and application of banking technology and regulations/compliance
  • In-depth knowledge of infrastructure, testing tools, and variety of testing techniques and methodologies.
  • Excellent understanding of system design processes, methodologies, and testing tools.
  • Understanding of data security, privacy, data protection, regulatory and compliance procedures
  • Strong oral communication and writing skills
  • Strong team building, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • ISQTB a plus
  • Passionate and results orientated
Good to have:
  • Certification for testing methodologies
  • Internet Banking and Mobile Banking platform technology
  • Experience with all lifecycles, including Agile, DevOps, Waterfall
  • Knowledge or have worked on delivery project involving solution such as content management and device rendering products (e.g. Interwoven, HP LiveSite, Oracle Web Center Site) will be a major plus.
