We also provide capital management, business planning, forecasting, and tax and accounting advisory services.

Job Objective

As the Group continues to enhance capabilities in Corporate Treasury (CT), there is a need for a strong and motivated AVP/VP to work in the CT-COO team to support delivery of the rising number of cross-team initiatives in CT. The focus of the COO team is on (1) formulating methodology, strategy or policy options for CT and executing strategic programs of work around them (2) complex cross-team projects requiring data analytics/science/engineering (3) complex cross-team initiatives or strategy where central steering / governance / project management is required and (4) areas where CT would benefit from robust centralized standards and processes.

Responsibilities
  • Support the CT team leads, and the Corporate Treasurer, in framing and articulating methodology, strategy, or policy options for CT, and conduct analysis, research, and synthesis to do so
  • Partner with other CT teams to plan, scope, and project manage key prioritized initiatives (expected focus will be on areas requiring more data analytics or cross-team interaction)
  • As required, own delivery of key cross-team CT initiatives; this will include data sourcing and management, problem-solving with stakeholders and analytical modeling in a suitable environment (e.g. MS Excel, MS Access, statistical modeling language, etc.)
  • Deliver central processes in CT, working with other CT teams, and bank stakeholders, to implement and operate robust and efficient processes
  • Support the CT team leads, and the Corporate Treasurer, in framing and articulating methodology, strategy, or policy options for CT, and conduct analysis, research, and synthesis to do so
    • Articulates and frames strategic and policy options in a well-researched, comprehensive yet concise way for senior management review
    • Prepares presentations, policy documents and meeting materials in a way that is concise, comprehensive and clear
    • Supports analytics and research including data collection, model development and analysis across CT teams in prioritized areas
  • Partner with other CT teams to prepare senior management presentations that span multiple CT teams
    • Collaborate with CT teams to prepare senior management presentations (e.g. MAS lunch, directors' briefing notes, etc.)
    • Delivers significant leverage to other CT teams and stakeholders (i.e. not a "post-box") by conducting research to support content development
  • Manage central operations control processes in CT, working with other CT teams, and other bank stakeholders, to implement and operate robust and efficient processes
    • Understand and manage data repository on purpose and ownership of CT Central Ops Murex portfolios
    • Creation of new PC codes and new Murex portfolios
    • Manage periodic control processes that cross multiple CT teams, such as annual Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), biennial CT-wide Audit, etc.
  • Deliver performance measurement and key focus area-setting processes in CT
    • Updates CT value scorecard quarterly and leads integration into overall Group Finance budgeting and scorecard review / scorecard-setting process
    • Supports portfolio structuring of location capital injections and other intra-group transactions, in alignment with Book Structure principles
    • Centrally manage review and updating of policies, standards and guides that cross multiple CT teams, including Capital Benefit standard, CO-HQLA standard, and others
    • Use CT Sharepoint to manage the above processes and regularly review and enhance the use of Sharepoint as a collaboration tool
    Requirements

    • 5 - 7 years of multi-disciplinary experience in Project Management / Consulting / Business Management roles
    • Ability to influence at a senior level without direct authority
    • Ability to problem-solve issues and negotiate outcomes between stakeholders
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
