Vice President, Product Management, Debit, Credit and Processing


The Digital Consumer Growth team is focused on driving overall transaction volume and profitable revenue growth for Mastercard's Debit and Credit portfolios. This group actively collaborates with internal teams across Mastercard, and external parties including customers (issuers), merchants, and new strategic alliance partners to build innovative product solutions focused on capturing current and future spending volume.

This individual will have responsibility for product development and management for the Asia Pacific region and will play a lead role in setting the credit and debit growth strategy .
In addition, this position will be responsible for developing a range of issuer portfolio optimization strategies for implementation across the region with the objective of optimizing both Issuer and Mastercard revenues.

Accountabilities :

• Delivers the operating plan and the achievement of growth objectives including market share, revenue and key segments
• Responsible for evaluating and applying market research and directing opportunity assessments on new ideas and concepts.
• Monitor the landscape of competitive products and industry trends, understanding their implications for MasterCard and propose actions as required.
• Lead the development of innovative and differentiated consumer products to meet current and emerging needs of Mastercard customers including new & emerging players such as Wallets , NeoBanks and Fintechs
• Develop action plans to protect domestic revenue from local schemes and domestic switches
• Support Divisions to drive product innovation and win key customer opportunities
• Lead a cross-functional process with marketing, communications and division colleagues to support launch of new features, programs and promotions.

This role requires the candidate to:
• Lead Mastercard's Credit and Debit practices in Asia Pacific - an exciting, dynamic opportunity to create real differentiators for Mastercard and address rapidly changing consumer needs across multiple diverse markets
• Engage with Mastercard senior management to develop the strategic direction for Mastercard's core payment products.
• Ensure our payment product strategy is aligned and integrated with the needs of our business and the needs of customers and consumers.
• Coordinate strategy, integration and deployment with the regional and global product and sales teams.
• Provide deep insight and strategic thought-leadership around the evolution of payments in Asia Pacific
• Be a motivational team leader who can ensure the right resources are brought to bear to ensure success.

All About You

• MBA or Masters Degree required
• Deep experience in the payments space in Asia Pacific with proven success in product management and commercialization
• Proven ability to effectively manage a team in the payments business
• Proven ability to develop complex strategic go-to-market plans, and execute on those plans.
• In-depth understanding of the payments ecosystem both in Asia Pacific and globally, including issuance, acceptance, tokenization, fast ACH/RTP, push payments etc.
• Operational understanding of payments technologies
• Ability to leverage technical knowledge & real-world experience to solve complex business problems.
• Excellent problem solving and project management skills.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong, productive working relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers
• Ability to influence people at multiple levels and navigate a global, decentralized organization
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to develop creative solutions for customer needs across multiple products and services.
• Travel required.
