Position Description
Bank of America Merrill Lynch is seeking to hire a Risk and Control Specialist to support the Global Banking and Markets Operations Division towards having sound controls and quality assurance routines in place within the Banks Risk Management Framework. The team collaborates organizationally and across regions to integrate risk management routines and strategies that simplify the operating environment and transforms the business. We are focused on delivering sound risk management routines with operational excellence, a strong risk framework and employee satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities

  • Drive issue identification and management activities across Global Banking and Markets (GBAM) Operations globally, with focus on APAC
  • Ensure issues are identified, managed effectively and remediated including the identification and escalation of issues within GBAM Operations COO, as well as leading remediation of select issues across GBAM Operations.
  • Drive risk management governance and routines for the APAC GBAM Operations organization
  • Drive process improvements across risk management activities
  • Support reporting needs and data analysis of risk management information
  • Participate in policy review and deployment activities across GBAM Operations, working jointly with Compliance and the divisions on the review and implementation of changes
  • Participate and/or lead control assessments across the organization, utilizing experience in Operations and Risk Management to deliver value to the organization.

  • Demonstrates a commitment for continuous learning; challenges the status quo and is passionate and capable of driving change across the organization
  • Operations and/or risk management experience either within a Global Markets or Banking environment
  • Bachelor Degree
  • Risk Qualification would be an advantage
