Position Purpose

To deliver viable solutions that evolves the Bank's Reporting/MIS platform in order to accompany business growth and meet the objectives in the APAC region.

Key Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities
• Review user requirements (UR) and perform system/functional analysis
• Provide viable solutions that improve user experience and delivers business initiatives along with improving operational efficiency
• Produce vendor requirements and review vendor FS (where applicable)
• Review and sign-off the artefacts and solution produced by the vendor/ Technical Team
• Continuous update of the Application FS
• Continuous update of the Application Interface Specification
• Write business test cases and liaise with Testing Team to prepare the entire Test plan
• Contribute towards the relevant sections of the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM)
• Review designs from Technical Teams/Vendor (where applicable)
• Perform/Support/Coordinate SIT, UAT, regression testing and rehearsal testing as applicable
• To ensure successful implementation of solution
• Provide weekend deployment support and L3 Production Support
• Assist the Team Lead in guiding junior System/Functional Analysts
• Demonstrate leadership to help build up expertise within the Team

Contributing Responsibilities
• Develop new products jointly with other application/project teams
• Contribute towards the end-to-end solutioning for these new products
• Contribute towards defect leakage and quality improvement initiatives
• To build expertise by providing training and knowledge sharing sessions

Competencies (Technical / Behavioural)

• 8+ years of IT experience in banking software development
• In depth experience in Cash Management, and Transaction Banking projects
• Familiar with Payments (TT, RTGS, LVP, Direct Debit, Cheques), and Receivables (Collections) processing and well aware of the corresponding Client / Bank / Regulatory Reporting needs
• Well aware of SWIFT/CAMT/PACS/PAIN messages and formats for Cash Management domain
• Strong analytical skills and attention to details
• Sound functional analysis and project management skills
• Hands-on experience with data/interface mapping
• Expertise in problem/issue analysis and troubleshooting
• Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic and multi-cultural environment
• Able to work independently or in a team to resolve issues and/or identify solutions in a timely manner
• Past experience with Vendor Management
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Practice of SDLC and/or Agile Scrum and well aware of quality and release control processes
• Knowledgeable in modern application architecture and language/tools (J2EE, Oracle, IBM WAS, etc.)
• Service-oriented attitude and strong commitment to client satisfaction

Specific Qualifications Required
• University degree holder
• IT certifications (ie. Java, Oracle, IBM, etc)
