Redstone Commodity Search are working with a non-banking financial institution seeking a Korean business development manager for the Korean market to join their team in Korea or Singapore.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Build and maintain relationships with banks, financial institutions, large corporates and international aid/development NGO's in Korea
  • Facilitate communications between Korean clients and the company by translating and managing the relationship on the back office to ensure smooth execution
  • Identify and execute potential opportunities with financial institutions and organisations to handle the foreign exchange and outgoing currency payments in local currency to foreign companies, NGO's and institutions
  • Build on existing relationships with major banks in South Korea with international business needs for correspondent banking and FI Sales and sell services into those banks for the purpose of FX / Foreign exchange transfer and global payments in local currency
  • Reports into Head of Global Payments

Key Qualifications / Experience
  • At least 5 years' experience on foreign exchange and global payments processing
  • Fluency in Korean and English is a must to be able to communicate with counterparties in Korea as well as international organisations elsewhere
  • Excellent knowledge of foreign exchange and global payments, with a strong background in sales or business development with a natural ability to establish relationships with high level executives within major financial institutions and banks for payment processing / global payment services
  • Existing relationships with managers within banks that can be utilised would be beneficial
  • Located in South Korea or able to relocate (can consider Singapore as location)
