About the team

The M&A department is responsible for the achievement of strategic goals and the optimization of the Axpo Group portfolio. The team has a wide background with expertise from investment banking, consulting and electrical engineering. Are you the perfect addition?

What you will do

  • Perform company and industry analysis
  • Identify and assess potential M&A projects
  • Train and develop junior team members
  • Lead buyside and sellside deal execution, including deal negotiations
  • Act as internal advisor to Axpo Group divisions and establish best practices for M&A throughout the group
  • Prepare and present documents and materials for the Axpo Group management, executive board and board of directors and make recommendations to them
  • Follow the market environment and energy sector developments
  • Interact with financial advisors, shareholders, potential investors, as well as various other stakeholders
  • Participate in the dialogue shaping the strategy of Axpo Group and support top management in important strategic and financial decisions

What you bring

  • Minimum of 6 years work experience in corporate finance / M&A having worked in a corporate environment, in investment banking or in consulting
  • Strong negotiation skills and track record
  • Ability to inspire others, intellectual curiosity and ambition
  • Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and with time constraints
  • Advanced analytical, quantitative and financial modelling skills, ideally acquired in the energy sector
  • Fluency in English, German is an advantage
  • Strong educational background
  • Willingness to travel for work
  • A valid work permit for Switzerland or EU/EFTA citizenship
