Private Debt Direct - Investment Manager, VP

What it's about

We have a great opportunity to join our growing Private Debt business. In this position, you will be an integral member of the private debt team, and take part in all aspects of private debt investments. The team provides subordinated unitranche and senior debt financing, primarily to back private equity-sponsored leveraged buyouts. We are a market leader in private debt, and invested over USD 32bn in credits globally since 2003.

  • Develop and maintain a network of financial sponsor and intermediary relationships in order to originate high quality, differentiated private debt investment opportunities
  • As a deal captain you will work with deal responsibles and the junior team members and work on private debt transactions, including structuring, due diligence, investment committee approval, documentation, execution and monitoring
  • This is a hybrid underwriting / originations role
  • Expect involvement in the fund raising activities of Partners Group, including direct interaction with existing and prospective LPs
What we expect
  • Strong credit skills including loan documentation negotiation experience is required
  • Fluent German and English skills
  • Highly motivated self-starter who is able to confidently and effectively communicate with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • 7-10 years relevant credit experience
  • Bachelor's or MBA degree from a top university
  • Ability and desire to train, coach, and mentor junior team members
