ASSET MANAGEMENT BUSINESS PROCESS AND OPERATIONAL RISK MANAGER


Our client is a leading Asset Manager in Zurich, representing high Investment Standards and holds an excellent track record.


In this position we are looking for a senior process specialist acting as first point of contact regarding controls, risk and process governance and adherence to regulations and best practice.
The main responsibility of this function is to manage interdependencies of AM core processes, challenge existing processes, identify optimization potentials and implement process optimization measures.
Likewise you act as central entrance window in terms of Operational Risk Control and Compliance concerns and coordination function between 1st and 2nd Line of Defense.

In your function, you maintain an overview of the relevant business processes and control environment within AM Switzerland and abroad (in cooperation with local representatives) and know the associated compliance and operational risks.
As a Business Risk Manager, you coordinate, monitor and ensure the completion of the annual Risk & Control Self Assessments (RCSA) in Asset Management, which contains the Support and Coordination between Process, Risk and Control Owner.
The critically review of the RCSA (AM) ensures suitable assessment quality before the release to Operational Risk Control as well as communicating and reporting the results regarding RCSA and the Internal Control System of AM.

In order to qualify for this role an excellent knowledge in Asset Management and Finance, especially trading related processes are a must. Your educational background contains an University Degree in Business, Computer Science, Mathematics or related fields.
You should be experienced in project and process management with a proven track record in Operational Risk Management within Financial Services and be capable to work with an analytical mind-set and to maintain a high level of compliance with regulations and best practice.
We are looking for a senior expert with distinct communication and negotiation skills and the ability to work in a dynamic and challenging field.
Proficiency in English language; German would be an additional asset.
You possess analytical skills in developing and maintaining process models, a structured strategic thinking and ability to define practicable frameworks and measures. Likewise you are a self-driven and team-oriented innovation Risk Manager with strong problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
