Your Role

As an Investment Accounting Analyst your main responsibilities will involve:

  • Day to day and close related ledger tasks
  • Preparing local globally accepted accounting principles/statutory and quarterly IFRS financial statements
  • Quality assurance of the quarterly variance analysis supporting the group IFRS reporting
  • Preparing standardized or adhoc reports including comments in order to facilitate the decision making process
  • Preparing of the analytic reports including all comments for the CIOs and CFOs
  • Resolving operational day-to-day problems referred from other functions of the business, ensuring an efficient and high-quality service when providing procedural advice and/or information
  • Maintaining processes and desk top procedures
  • Overseeing and coordinating the balance sheet reconciliation process in accordance with group internal control guidelines
  • Maintaining the chart of accounts in line with international finance reporting standards and local statutory requirements
  • Monitoring, assessing and evaluating finance business processes in collaboration with the local controller in order to identify opportunities for improvement

Your Skills and Experience

As an Investment Accounting Analyst your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

  • A bachelor degree (or equivalent) in accounting
  • Knowledge of Affiliate and Linked Asset accounting
  • 3 or more years of experience in a related field
  • Understanding of finance and accounting operations
  • Good knowledge and practical working experience with international IFRS as well as local globally accepted accounting principles and regulatory requirements
  • Good know how in insurance accounting matters is preferred
  • Fluent written and spoken German and English
