Senior Compliance - MCOBS - Buckinghamshire (3days/wk) & London

My client a British bank are looking for a Senior Compliance Advisor to identify, assesses, mitigate and control through compliance monitoring. With a focus on the operational aspects of regulated and unregulated mortgages (MCOBS). To undertake compliance monitoring and reviews to verify provision of managing information, on the bank's adherence to the regulatory rules and the best practice that is discharged through the operational environment in BAU. Reporting and communicating issues as appropriate.

My client a British bank are looking for a Senior Compliance Advisor to identify, assesses, mitigate and control through compliance monitoring. With a focus on the operational aspects of regulated and unregulated mortgages (MCOBS).

To undertake compliance monitoring and reviews to verify provision of managing information, on the bank's adherence to the regulatory rules and the best practice that is discharged through the operational environment in BAU. Reporting and communicating issues as appropriate.

Responsibilities:
- Regulatory compliance
- Horizon scanning of new regulatory handbooks
- Providing compliance advice
- AML, Financial Crime, ABC, Fraud
- Conflicts of Interest
- Review and monitor policies and procedures
- Work with 1LOD for onboarding
- Assist with business assurance and origination
- Undertake thematic reviews
- Data protection
- Advise internal stakeholders

Required Skills:
* Advanced understanding of home purchase plan products (Inc. Secured Lending), and unregulated mortgage business
* Risk awareness of issues identified for escalation, proposing resolutions
* Internal collaboration with key departments (Compliance, Risk, Operations, Marketing, Origination Team, Direct Finance, Underwriting)
* Regulatory standards awareness
* Stakeholder management, fostering a good working relationship with compliance colleagues at the Milton Keynes site
* Good business report writing and presentation skills
* Project management and organisational skills
* Influencing skills (negotiation, persuasion, leadership)
