DWP. Digital with Purpose.
DWP is the UK's largest government department. We provide support and make payments worth £billions to millions of people in the UK, including some of the most vulnerable in our society.
In DWP Digital we're transforming these services, making them easier to access and more available, by unlocking the potential of leading edge technologies and ways of working.
We're looking for someone organised, effective and resilient to join us in a Junior Director Support role.
You'll help us achieve our ambitious goals by supporting our Digital Directors, helping them be at their best and spend their valuable time where it is most needed.
You'll need to be strong with Microsoft Office tools like Excel, Outlook and Teams, be able to provide great admin support and have the confidence and credibility to represent really senior people.
Diaries. Work. Prioritisation.
You will be supporting Digital Leaders within our flagship Universal Credit programme, and ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the Director's office.
You'll work autonomously and with initiative. You'll take on diary management for our leaders, prioritising requests and scheduling meetings. You'll also provide administrative and office management support to the wider teams.
This is a really fast-paced, demanding and technical environment, with great energy and a culture that is different to what you might expect in DWP.
As you grow into the role you'll develop your knowledge and skills, so as well as managing senior inboxes and diaries you'll be able to resolve queries and deal with issues yourself.
DWP Digital is a unique place to work and great place to build a rewarding career alongside experts in everything from software engineering to policy design.
