Large European investment bank in London is looking for a head of risk to manage all risk for the trading desk

An investment bank has recently opened up an exclusive mandate for a Head of Risk position covering all risks for the bank. The role will report directly to the General Manager for London and the global head of risk for the bank. The senior market risk manager will be directly responsible for how the risk of the firm is managed across London for the bank and play an active part in all risk strategies. The successful candidate will require excellent stakeholder management skills are essential and should be comfortable working in a commercial environment.

The main responsibilities are;
  • Full Risk oversight for the bank including assessment and development of risk management frameworks
  • Regulatory interaction including ensuring all regulation is understood and adhered to across the bank
  • Working closely with senior management and risk committee members in a collaborative manner to build a high-achieving, well-controlled organisation
  • Exposure to and understanding of the cross-risk markets and associated trading risks
  • Support business operations to ensure all first line risks are managed in line with the overall Group’s risk appetite
The successful candidate will be joining a well established and highly experienced team with a place on the senior management of the bank. You will have the opportunity to take responsibility for a handful of sectors with the chance to develop into new areas as the opportunity arises.
