Tilney Smith and Willamson group is looking for a Business Development Manager for the Midlands to assist in the promotion and sale of Investment Management, Financial Planning and Group Professional Services.

Tilney Smith and Willamson group is looking for a Business Development Manager for the Midlands region to provide compliance advisory, training and monitoring services to support the Financial Services division of the group.
Key Responsibilities:
- To develop a comprehensive understanding of TS&W's:
- Investment Management Services
- Financial Planning Services
- Group's Professional Services
- To introduce direct clients to the services available at the firm
- To maintain and build relationships with professional intermediaries
- To represent TS&W in the Midlands
- To represent and promote the benefits of Tilney's services and products
- To be an integral part of the sales team, and in addition to working closely with the Financial Planning and Investment Management Teams
- Conduct face to face meetings at the TS&W offices and by travelling within the UK
- Utilise telephone sales skills to establish introductory meetings
- Achieve pre-agreed targets
- To provide regular feedback to management
Skills and Qualifications:
- A proven track record in communicating with a professional-client base from a private wealth, asset management or financial advisory background
- Demonstrate immediate gravitas, impact and credibility. A confident and strong communicator
- A strong track record of networking, building and maintaining long term client relationships at all levels
- Demonstrate an understanding of the changing needs of intermediaries, in particular, new challenges faced by financial advisers with respect to the Retail Distribution Review
- A minimum of 2 years prior experience face to face
- Highly numerate
- Sound judgement, adaptability and the ability to influence to achieve success
- Commercial flair and an enthusiastic and progressive approach to the finance sector
- IMC or other industry equivalent education background preferred
- It is desirable for the individual to attain FCA level 4 compliance in relation to the Retail Distribution Review,the jobholder must be willing to either work towards completion or currently hold relevant qualifications for advising and dealing in securities, derivatives and packaged products
