• To be the Credit Specialist within the Private Banking team • The role will include developing and managing a portfolio of credit-based clients and providing proactive support for Private Bankers in the structuring of their complex lending business and regulated mortgage business

Key Responsibilities
·        Develop a portfolio of clients who are predominantly lending led and identify any opportunities to broaden the relationship by involving the Wealth Planning specialist
·       Articulate the Bank’s lending policy and appetite, both internally and externally
·      Work with the Private Banking team to ensure the team target is met and exceeded
·       Work with the Private Banking team to ensure the clients receive an optimum experience 
·        Support Private Bankers on the team with complex, regulated lending scenarios and work with them in order to increase their knowledge and experience
·        Promote the Private Banking team to internal and external stakeholders, particularly Credit Risk and Credit Operations

·         Complete required benchmark qualifications, adhering to both legal and regulatory requirements
·     Fulfil the responsibilities required under the FCA’s Senior Manager and Certification Regimes, and Conduct Rules

Knowledge & Experience
·       Detailed and demonstrable technical knowledge and experience around all areas of lending, particularly regulated business
·         Private Banking experience on managing a portfolio of clients within the Bank’s stated criteria
·       Detailed knowledge of regulatory requirements covering money laundering and criminal activity
·         Strong interest in financial markets
·         Knowledge of wealth management and banking products
·         Multi-tasking capability
·        Ability to work under pressure
·        Strong written and verbal communication skills
·         Excellent time management, self-planning and organisational skills

·         A good understanding of banking systems and general IT literacy, with a high understanding of Microsoft office
·         Ideally you should be working towards or already hold a valid professional qualification in CeMAP (or something equivalent)
