Job Description Summary
The Chief Data Office (CDO) Data Privacy and Records Management Specialist role is to support the Lead and Head of Function to set the direction of Data Privacy and Records Management. The CDO Data Privacy and Records Management specialist role will support the design and continuous improvement of the Data Privacy and Records Management operating model. They will deliver standards, processes and training artefacts to enable Divisions and Value streams to deliver data management outcomes. They will work directly with the Divisions and value streams, to upskill them in data management processes and support their queries. They will develop the Groups Data Privacy and Records Management capability by capturing requirements for improvement. They will work with CDO colleagues and the data management lab to design solutions and deliver the capability roadmap. They will carry out oversight activity to ensure that data privacy and records management activity is progressing in line with targets, is of appropriate quality and is delivering business value. They will identify and support remedial action to help data privacy and records management communities deliver the progress and quality improvement required.

Job Description

The CDO Data Privacy and Records Management Specialist have an important role to play in delivering the company's new 'data' culture. The role holder should display the following qualities

Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience in at least one Data Privacy and Records Management discipline (e.g. Data Protection, PECR, and Information & Cyber Security)
  • Experience in Financial Services or large Corporate environments
  • Ability to influence Stakeholders
  • Experience of working in dynamic, cross functional and multi discipline teams
  • Experience of delivering activity to comply with Data Privacy and Records Management regulation, and managing risk
  • Can translate between regulatory principals, business and technical impacts and requirements
  • Ability work with colleagues with a range of backgrounds, including business, technical and risk
  • Experience of working with Data Privacy and Records Management technology solutions


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Appropriate Data Protection, Risk, Records Management, Information Security or Marketing qualification (e.g. ISEB Data Protection Foundation or CIPP) or demonstrate passed willingness to develop specialist knowledge
  • Preferred but not mandated, certified member of industry body e.g. IAAP, IRMF.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the design and continuous improvement of the group Data Privacy and Records Management target operating model
  • Act as a source of expertise in Data Privacy and Records Management disciplines, supporting colleagues across the group
  • Deliver Standards, processes and training artefacts to support LBG colleagues to deliver effective Data Privacy and Records Management activity
  • Work with Value Streams and Divisions to determine the Data Privacy and Records Management Value Outcomes and Targets for Lloyds Banking Group
  • Work with Value Streams and Division colleagues to upskill them in Data Privacy and Records Management, and coach them in the effective deployment of processes and tools
  • Monitor organisational progress against DCAM Targets in respect of Data Privacy and Records Management governance
  • Contribute to the effective running of Data Privacy and Records Management governance forums and committees, producing input and output materials, and ensuring that issues are escalated as appropriate
  • Support ongoing development and embedding of Data Privacy and Records Management Policies
  • Undertake activity to ensure that LBG is compliant with data regulation, including GDPR
  • Work with the groups records management champions to ensure that policy and regulatory requirements are met
  • Listen to the needs of Division and Value stream colleagues to determine additional requirements for Data Privacy and Records Management capability (training, process, tooling) and champion requirements
  • Work with CDO and Data Management Lab colleagues to define potential Data Privacy and Records Management solutions
  • Support the development of the Data Privacy and Records Management capability roadmap
  • Deliver a training and communication framework that ensures that LBG colleagues are engaged, motivated and skilled to support Data Privacy and Records Management activity
