Manager - Prudential Risk Analysis
About The Role

As Manager Prudential Risk Analysis you will join the team supporting the Senior Prudential Risk Manager in second line oversight of prudential risks. The Prudential Risk team forms part of a larger team including Prudential Compliance and Model Validation. You will have responsibilities for assisting the Senior Prudential Risk Manager in overseeing Treasury and Finance, in areas including Liquidity and Funding Risk, Market Risk, Capital and Treasury Credit Risk.
The remit is broad and the role diverse; responsibilities will include review of the ILAAP, ICAAP, Recovery Plan, ad-hoc thematic reviews, supporting the ALCO. You will guide, advise and challenge first line teams on all aspects of prudential risk, producing Board Risk and ALCO papers to support your assessments and recommendations. You will keep up to date with emerging issues and relevant regulatory developments.

About You

The ideal candidate will ideally be educated to a degree level or equivalent, to be a success in this role it is essential you have strong analytic expertise. An Accountancy or Financial Risk Management qualification would be a distinct advantage.
Experience of Financial/Prudential Risk, working either in a first or second line role, with exposure to an ALCO is highly desirable. You will be a self-starter, able to dive into the detail of a major piece of work with limited supervision. Being part of a small but wide-ranging team you must be willing to have a broad focus.
You will have well developed interpersonal skills enabling you to work collaboratively both with others in the Prudential Risk and Compliance team and members of the first line teams. You will need to develop working relationships with key stakeholders at a senior level and will be highly effective at both written and verbal communication and should be comfortable and credible in front of a senior audience. Experience of writing committee papers would be an advantage.
