We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join the risk function to lead the Society’s approach to operational resilience, including further development and implementation of the Operational Resilience Strategy and Framework, compliance with regulatory obligations and managing the Operational Resilience team.
You’ll lead and deliver a gap analysis and risk assessment of cross-functional business services to identify key risks to the Society in meeting its strategic objectives and ensure that business owners are equipped to address identified gaps to deliver required level of operational resilience to meet the Society’s approved Impact Tolerances.
You’ll manage relationships at all levels of the Society including with cross-functional teams across the organisation and third parties to ensure that people, processes, and technological systems meet the required levels of resilience.
We’re looking for someone with drive and ambition, strong interpersonal and analytical skills and an ability to understand complex processes. You’ll be able to define and oversee pragmatic solutions to issues and have an ability to influence at all levels across the Society.
You’ll have proven experience from within the Financial Sector in cross-functional end to end business process mapping across a firm and production of process risk assessments within the same environment. Ideally you will hold professional qualifications in a related field, such as business continuity, cyber security or risk management.
You’ll be experienced in developing embedded processes for assessing operational resilience of people, processes and technological systems. You’ll present reports, papers and updates to risk committees to inform them of progress in the delivery of the Society’s Operational Resilience programme.
Building relationships and managing stakeholders within the Society and externally is key and you’ll ensure these are effectively managed and receive regular and ongoing communications. You’ll also be managing and developing a small team of subject matter experts and be responsible for the effective management of budgets with your area
