Morgan McKinley is looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to work on a 12 month FTC for a very well established Law firm based in the Crawley, West Sussex area. Duration:
12 month fixed term contract Salary:
£20,000 Working hours:
9.15-5.15 Monday to Friday
The main purpose of the Accounts PL Assistant role is to ensure invoices, credit notes and staff expenses are posted accurately and on a timely basis to the general ledger.
Also process payments to suppliers and staff in compliance with both company internal procedures and UK VAT rules. The Purchase Ledger Assistant will also assist other members of the Nominal Team during busy periods with petty cash processing, journals, filing and communicating with budget holders, suppliers and staff. Skills and experience required:
* Proven Accounts Assistant - Purchase Ledger experience working in a Professional Services environment
* Good understanding and experience of the purchase ledger function including posting invoices, staff expense claims, payment runs and supplier reconciliations
* Knowledge of UK VAT requirements
* Excellent communication skills
