DWP. Digital with Purpose
DWP is the UK's biggest government department, and along with 100,000 colleagues, we support 25 million people every day to help them to find work and save for their future.
In this role you'll help our Digital Capability Team build world class teams of digital professionals, who are modernising the way DWP delivers products and services.
You and your team are responsible for delivering contingent labour recruitment services for DWP Digital. You'll work with both internal and external partners to ensure we build and grow capability using whatever route to market is best whether that is contractors or other creative ways of getting the right people in the right role.
You don't need to have worked in a contract recruitment role to excel here. If you have the skills to deliver with and through people, if you're an organised and effective leader, and you can knit solutions out of problems, then you'll do great.
Delivering World-Class People
We call this role a 'Digital Capability Manager', but what's in a name? It's a recruitment manager, resourcing manager, contract labour co-ordinator, team leader, recruitment project manager, stakeholder relationship-er and loads more.
You'll lead a team that delivers a brilliant resourcing and recruitment service for DWP Digital hiring managers and candidates.
Your focus will be on contractors and contingent labour, working with demanding resourcing plans to help DWP get the right Digital talent into post so they can build world class services for our users, now and in future.
You will need to build and maintain positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including senior Managers, Commercial colleagues Suppliers and wider Departmental colleagues. And you'll know who to speak to, and influence, to get the outcomes we need.
You will have line management responsibilities for a small expert team who coordinate end to end contract recruitment campaigns. Together you'll be organising all the administration and logistics, and making recruitment work as smoothly as possible. You will be accountable for overall team performance, leading and empowering individuals to be at their best.
It's a great chance to use, and build, strong leadership skills and to help your team grow too. We have a great record of people developing their skills and their careers in these roles, so this could be a fast track to brilliant opportunities.
