Join us as a Data Management Manager

  • Acting as a subject matter expert on all aspects of data management, you'll support the development of the Data Research team to become a data centre of excellence
  • You'll support the management of Data Research with responsibility for the timely and accurate coding and maintenance of Scheme and Instrumental data
  • This role provides an opportunity to enhance and develop your own data analytical skills as well as developing those of the team
  • We're offering this role for a period of eight months


What you'll do

As a Data Management Manager, you'll implement our compliance monitoring system, identifying and developing continuous improvements to MIG21 and Data Warehouse, while ensuring accurate and efficient maintenance of the data. This is to ensure the correct investment and borrowing limit monitoring of schemes in accordance with FCA regulations.

You'll also be:

  • Making sure Scheme and Instrumental information held on MIG21 and Data Warehouse is checked and reviewed on a regular basis
  • Identifying and supporting with the development of MIG21 and Data Warehouse, collaborating with others to implement required changes within budget and agreed timescales
  • Owning the management, maintenance, integrity and analysis of supplier data received and used in the performance of compliance monitoring
  • Producing, analysing and distributing comprehensive and accurate management information
  • Proactively supporting the Data Supply Manager in the development of team members technical expertise


The skills you'll need

We'll look to you to have a sound technical understanding and application of MIG21 and Data Warehouse systems, along with a solid understanding of their technicalities, configuration and specifications relative to data input and output requirements for IBP purposes. You'll also need a sound understanding of databases and Excel applications, paired with the ability to accurately input information and good attention to detail.

Additionally, you'll need:

  • Knowledge of supplier data feeds and a detailed understanding of the Collective Investment Scheme and the Funds industry as well as relevant FCA regulations, specifically COLL or FUND and IBP, and investment objective restrictions
  • The ability to keep fully updated on new product developments relating to Collective Investment Scheme and Financial Instruments
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in relationship management with internal and external stakeholders and clients
  • The ability to manage and prioritise workloads within a team environment to meet common goals
