Meraki Talent are engaged on the permanent position of Management Accountant paying £40,000 - £43,000 & competitive benefits package based close to the Gyle in Edinburgh.

The Role

The business has substantial capital expenditure (CAPEX) forecasted for the next few years with some extremely sizable and exciting projects. The role of Management Accountant is a true business partnering opportunity which will provide the utmost visibility and exposure for a flagship division of the business. The role will face off to some of the most senior stakeholders within the business so it’s essential the successful individual can engage and influence non-financial stakeholders.

On Offer

The position of Management Accountant is based close to the Gyle in Edinburgh however the role is purely remote working at present. The company has committed to a hybrid working model next year when it eventually returns to the office and is happy for the majority of the role to be completed remotely with presence only required for business-critical meetings. The role will offer:
  • £40,000 - £43,000 base salary – top level of the bracket is achievable

You will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties:
  • Reporting to the Financial Controller
  • Business partnering with senior non-financial stakeholders both internally & externally
  • Involvement in several high value projects
  • Production and presentation of monthly reporting packs with ability to challenge variances & discrepancies
  • Variance analysis
  • Cost ownership and analysis – costings, labour, resourcing, margins etc.
  • Budget and forecasting
  • Responsible for an efficient month end close – accruals, journals etc.
  • Reviewing and developing processes, procedures & controls
  • Adhoc duties
To be considered, you must have the following experience:
  • Part qualified, finalist or qualified – qualified by experience will also be considered
  • Strong management accounts and business partnering experience
  • Cost ownership and analysis experience would be highly advantageous
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficient user of Excel
