  • In this influential role, you'll manage the repository of security architecture models, roadmaps, standards and outcomes
  • We're looking for someone to drive the business architecture, which will include current, resultant and target states, making sure that the target architecture and roadmap support the achievement of our business goals

What you'll do

As a Security Architecture and Standards Lead, you'll be defining and communicating the architecture, making sure that the architecture links to and is informed by the overall strategy and business-wide architecture, and produces the desired business and customer outcomes. Throughout the course of your work, you'll collaborate with stakeholders across multiple franchises and functions, helping them understand and support the business architecture changes required to satisfy the business and bank-wide outcomes.

Additionally, you'll be:

  • Providing various views, including business-wide views, franchise and function views, architecture layer views and programme specific views
  • Analysing the strategy and wider business environment to identify capabilities that the architecture must provide and support over the long term, translating these into business, customer and architecture outcomes
  • Defining, creating and managing multi-year roadmaps for the business architecture and delivery of the defined outcomes
  • Translating security architecture roadmaps into packages of work to be included in project plans
  • Keeping up-to-date on industry thinking and best practice, and driving the architecture team development and training through sharing knowledge and skills


The skills you'll need

We're looking for someone with knowledge of industry architecture frameworks and methods, coupled with significant experience of defining business architectures and roadmaps for complex enterprises. You'll need a background in security architecture design and consultancy and in developing and reviewing security standards for security architectures.

We'll also expect you to have:
  • Extensive experience of business process definition
  • Experience of leading a team
  • Significant experience of customer led design
  • A background of developing, syndicating and communicating architectures, designs and proposals for actions
  • Experience of delivering security architectures and standards in cloud environments, AWS, Azure and GCP
  • A background in designing controls and solutions for complex environments in regulated industries
