We're looking for an Application Engineer with C# skills to develop, maintain, change and support DWP products and applications used by over 22 million people.

Development. Work. Projects.

You'll be using all your skills and experience as C# Application Engineer to maintain key DWP systems. You'll need a track record of developing, refactoring and enhancing legacy systems.

You will work closely with the product owner and experts across DWP finding opportunities to enhance the system, as we evolve to meet emerging requirements. You'll support the ongoing development, troubleshootin and administration of the system too.

Ideally you will also have experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, with a good working knowledge of SQL including scripting. A knowledge of data visualisation tools

What skills, knowledge and experience do you need to show us?

  • Evidence of "Managing a Quality Service". For us that means working with stakeholders to set priorities, objectives and timescales, driving high quality, value-for-money outcomes and meeting customer needs.
  • Experience of identifying and implementing improvements and optimisations
  • Programming and Build: in depth knowledge of C# .NET.
  • Tools & Software: You're familiar with a range of C# tools and code management software.
  • Technical breadth: Deep technical understanding of the role of Application Engineer, with the skills and confidence to challenge and advise others
