Job Description
LAS is looking to develop its strategic services still further to ensure that we remain the pre-eminent trusted financial adviser, providing technical, capital and treasury financial advice to the public sector. We are looking to expand our current team by recruiting consultants to further strengthen the team in these areas to cover the Midlands and North of England.
Client Relationship Managers work closely with public service organisations and will need to be comfortable working directly with Directors of Finance and professional staff within the Finance Department. We are frequently called upon to address Senior Officers and Members directly to advise on a wide range of financial issues in terms which non-technical people can follow. You will need to be able to demonstrate that you can operate at this level.
Qualifications
We have a strong team ethos and any new colleague will be supported and encouraged in their new role.
Applicants would ideally be qualified accountants with experience and a strong knowledge of the Prudential Code and the regulatory framework governing public service organisations. We will however consider other qualifications which allow us the scope and enthusiasm to drive our business forward.
Our Client Relationship Managers are skilled in the workings of the financial markets and have a keen understanding of international economics and the impact on interest rates.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate strong problem solving and presentational skills. Valuable personal attributes would include being a self-starter, being able to work to very tight deadlines and ability to operate within a strong ethic of team-working.
Applicants will also need to demonstrate a customer-focused outlook in managing competing work priorities and be prepared to travel within the UK on a regular basis, including overnight stays.
Additional Information
In return, successful applicants can look forward to working for a progressive, high quality company that can offer investment in an individual’s personal development and training skill-sets, as well as a competitive remuneration package reflecting your ability and experience.
