Job Description


As Senior Business Analyst within our Change Management team, you will be instrumental in supporting the analysis function within a project environment.

As part of a team of 12 analysts, you will be a strong, well rounded and dynamic individual with proven business analysis capabilities.  You will work across all levels of stakeholders within a commercial environment, coaching and mentoring colleagues with various levels of experience in the business analysis discipline.

Day to day you will:

  • Engage with business experts to understand current business processes and/or transitional and future requirements
  • Produce high/detailed level requirements
  • Analyse business issues and needs by using the appropriate business analysis methodologies and techniques
  • Apply challenge to ensure a positive outcome
  • Shape, prioritise and define business requirements to provide best fit
  • Plan/Facilitate/Deliver workshops from initial problem statements, requirements and data gathering through to implementation planning and delivery support
  • Review and sign off on implementation plans, test approach, criteria and results to ensure traceability to business requirements
  • Provide an interface between the business areas and IT project team throughout the life cycle
  • Mentor colleagues in the business analysis discipline.

 

Qualifications


Essential:

  • Strong facilitation, communication (written and verbal) , listening, coaching and presentation skills, with experience of running results driven workshops
  • Experience of using structured methodologies and techniques
  • Ability to work at a conceptual level where business objectives and requirements may not be well defined
  • Builds productive relationships with functions and third parties outside of the project team
  • Experience of full project life cycle across a range of projects
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • Excellent analytical and numerical reasoning skills
  • Good problem solving skills, methodical, with the ability to deliver to tight deadlines, with an eye for attention to detail and accuracy
  • Flexible and has an ability to prioritise and multi task in a challenging working environment, good organisational skills
  • A team player – positive contributor  – takes pride in helping the team to deliver
  • Relevant ISEB/BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis 

Desirable

  • Financial service industry knowledge in the area of Collective Investments; Transfer Agency
  • Experience working within an outsourcing environment
  • Relevant Collective Investment / Transfer Agency qualification such as the Investment Operations Certificate (IOC) or equivalent
  • Working towards  the ‘Advanced’ BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis
