Accountant, Venture Capital

An international Venture Capital firm in central London is seeking a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) to undertake a newly created role in the Finance team, whereby you will get exposure to a number of duties, including a number of tasks around carried interest. This is a super opportunity to move into the industry and gain valuable new skills.

The Role:

• Assist with day-to-day and ad hoc accounting activities of Jersey based carried interest vehicles including audits, review of Capital Statements, K-1s etc.
• Perform calculations for carried interest distributions and liaise with administrators on distribution process
• Maintain carried interest data bases including registers to ensure records are correct, and kept up to date
• Assist with preparation and audit of UK financial statements for advisory company and its corporate member
• Assist with UK tax audit and ongoing monitoring of tax liabilities
• Proactively keep up to date with relevant tax changes
• Support liaising with third party service providers such as administrators and tax advisors on ad hoc queries
• Supporting data cleansing/conversion and data migration into new system

Requirements:

• You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Experience likely to be have come from a top 20 practice firm and/or experience working with Private Equity/Venture Capital
• Financial services exposure an advantage but not essential
• Excellent inter-personal and all round communication skills required
