Responsibilities

Enko Capital is an Africa-focused investment manager that has recently created a new position in sales and marketing. The successful candidate will be critical in accelerating asset growth in Enko’s funds through direct efforts in identifying, contacting, and cultivating potential investors and ultimately securing new investments from them. The position will also require extensive involvement in the marketing, investor relations, data analytics, and compliance functions that support the critical infrastructure required to gain new investors and strengthening the relationships with existing investors.

Capital Development

  • Assume sole responsibility for a specified geographic region to raise new assets from investors
  • Keep CRM data current

Marketing

  • Assist in updating, modifying, and improving all collateral material
  • Manage digital platforms

Investor Relations

  • Manage distribution and tracking of periodic reports
  • Interface with investors on specific requests

Data Analytics

  • Assist in the collection and categorization of portfolio and firm data
  • Disseminate data to necessary constituents

Compliance

  • Assist in compliance monitoring processes
  • Ad-hoc assistance on compliance-related projects

Qualifications

Education

Consistently strong academic background that demonstrates a clear progression to ever more challenging pursuits.                         

Experience

At least 3 years in a financial institution with demonstrable experience prospecting for new investors and interacting with current investors.

Quantifiable Skills

Mandatory       

  • Articulate, succinct, and cogent communication skills
  • Fluent in Excel and the calculation of financial and portfolio metrics
  • Concrete knowledge of capital markets and macroeconomics
  • Managing a CRM system 

Advantageous

  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
  • Fluency in one or more foreign languages
  • Strong familiarity with compliance requirements related to marketing in the E.U. and U.S.
