work with Head of Finance, Head Office and Branches to analyse Solo Financial performance, including monthly and quarterly performance reporting to Executive Management Produce the financial forecast, budget and funding plan for the UK business, and assist in production and analysis of the financial forecast and budget for Solo.
The Role Responsibilities:
Strategy:Awareness and understanding of both SCB's Group's and European business strategies.
Business & Processes: Legal vehicle restructuring project manager (Project Rubik) for Solo Responsible for project management of the Solo Project Rubik workstream.Accountable for maintaining project plan, and coordination with workstream members to ensure delivery of project goals. Performance management/ Forecasting and Funding Plan preparation. Work with Head of Finance, Head Office and Branches to analyse Solo Financial performance, including monthly and quarterly performance reporting to Executive Management Produce the financial forecast, budget and funding plan for the UK business, and assist in production and analysis of the financial forecast and budget for Solo. Analysis and preparation of materials for Solo Management Team and Solo Management Business Review meetings.Drive balance sheet and risk-weighted assets (RWA) forecasting on a financial basis, working with business finance and global product teams.Use financial balance sheet forecasts to create funding plans and liquidity forecasts.Track balance sheet and RWA actual against forecasts and targets.
ALCO preparation:Ensure standard ALCO materials are produced in a timely and accurate basis by Global Financial Services (GFS) in Chennai, including review and training of GFS team.Prepare ALCO materials for special topics to be presented to the committee, on topics such as FTP, planning and forecasting, liquidity etc.Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP):Work closely with Treasury Liquidity FTP team to understand proposed changes to the FTP framework.Communicate the changes and the impacts clearly to the business and to ALCO.Help with roll-out of FTP system enhancements including user acceptance testing and impact analysis.Assist business finance with analysis of FTP calculations and P&L impact analysis for the business.

Set appropriate tone and expectations and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.Specify requirements and review output for the GFS business partner teams supporting UK and Solo Balance Sheet Management

Qualified accountant (preferably ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA)
