We have an exciting opportunity for an Analyst to join our Macquarie Infrastructure & Real Assets business and work within a small focused team that originates opportunities to deploy capital in the infrastructure sector and manages investments already made.
As an analyst you will be able to assist with managing our portfolio of assets and with the execution of new investment opportunities, refinancing and fundraising tasks. You will work with senior and portfolio executives to pursue transaction opportunities, creating and executing strategic initiatives both internally and within portfolio companies. You will have the opportunity to support the development and refining of their business plans and strategy, including identifying and delivering operational and financial improvements within portfolio companies.
You will also execute and lead detailed financial and valuation analysis of portfolio companies and transactions, build and review financial models as necessary, and oversee financial model development of the more junior members in the team.
Working with portfolio company senior management, you will measure and monitor the financial and operational performance and strategic direction of those companies, identify and execute M&A transactions- both new acquisitions and bolt-on acquisitions for portfolio companies, execute financing transactions and manage junior team members, including being responsible for their development.
If you have at least 2 years M&A execution experience in an investment bank, infrastructure or utilities funds, and fluent language skills in both English and German, we want to hear from you.
You would need to hold a Bachelors degree, preferably in commerce or Law, and be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of financial accounting, corporate finance and business reporting. You will have strong financial modelling skills and knowledge of global funds management, investment banking or strategy consulting
As part of the role you may be required to travel for business purposes.
