Overview of Treasury at Standard Chartered
A team of over 250 professionals in 43 countries, the Treasury function is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the balance sheet, partnering with the business to drive an optimal asset, liability and capital mix, whilst acting in the best interest of the bank.

The Treasury Liquidity Team is responsible for assessing policy requirements and developing procedure standards and methodology for implementation, regulatory interpretation and adoption into the framework (including regulatory submission of the ILAAP document), setting limits for key liquidity metrics and ensuring compliance with Group liquidity regulations. The team consists of the following areas: Regulatory Developments, Banking Book Liquidity, Trading Book Liquidity, Liquidity Stress Testing, Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP), Earnings Risk and Modelling and Platforms.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
The candidate will be required to support the Head of Liquidity Risk by:

* Assisting in interpretation, impact analysis, communication to key stakeholders (including briefs to various committees) and implementation of emerging liquidity regulations (e.g. Cash Flow Mismatch Report)
* Monitoring continued compliance with Group liquidity regulations by updating and improving the bank's Prudential Compliance Framework as required
* Providing input and analysis on liquidity requirements, liquidity policies together with ensuring assurance standards have been correctly implemented
* Drafting, maintaining, updating and communicating liquidity risk policies, standards and assessment of operational risk framework and mitigating controls
* Working closely with senior management, business partners and Group CFO functions to ensure adherence to policy / limits and balance sheet optimisation
* Supporting ongoing technology projects to improve liquidity modelling and reporting capabilities. Providing liquidity requirements and input into a Treasury-wide IT infrastructure project
* Working with business line to ensure products are consistent with Treasury's approach to managing risk and support the resilience of the Groups' balance sheet (explaining Treasury to business lines, impact of new products)
* Preparing the Group's liquidity and funding risks disclosures for the Annual Report and Accounts and Pillar 3 report

Qualifications & Skills
- Educated to degree level (numerical discipline)
- Experience in Financial Services (Treasury, Finance or Risk is preferable)
- Willingness to start or continue professional qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACT)
- High level of numeracy
- Developed problem solving and analytical skills matched with a capacity to convert complexity into practical and immediately applicable processes and policies
- A clear confident communicator and presenter with good attention to detail
- Positive contributor to team in terms of ideas and knowledge
