ITG is looking for an enthusiastic Application Support Analyst to join our London team. Here at ITG, technology is our middle name. Literally.   • Take responsibility for the monitoring and support of ITG’s POSIT® Dark and Auction Pool, from crossing through to trade and transaction reporting
  • Responsible for monitoring ITGE's Proprietary and existing third party applications which largely make up the settlement environment
  • Work closely with the Post Trade product managers on ad-hoc technical automation projects in a cross platform environment (Unix/Windows)
  • Produce reports from Sybase and Oracle databases based on requests from sales trade desk and operations department
  • Monitor log files for trade problems and initiate follow-up actions. Liaise between ITGE front and back office to resolve issues
  • Test and implement new software releases and configuration changes from both internal and external developers
  • Liaise regularly with the sales trading desk, the operations department and development to ensure awareness of system issues
  • Composition of, and enhancement to, all relevant documentation
  • Participate in other recurring and ad-hoc projects requiring a professional approach to project management


  • 3rd level qualification in IT
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Experience in shell scripting an advantage
  • Experience with SWIFT an advantage
  • Experience with FIX protocol an advantage
  • Good understanding of networking, operating systems architecture, message queuing, email delivery and internet protocols
  • Experience with financial applications within an equities environment a distinct advantage
  • Working knowledge of MS Office a distinct advantage
  • Experience with ITRS a distinct advantage
  • Sybase & Oracle 1st level support an advantage
  • High level of software knowledge
