While you'll be based in London you'll work as part of the wider network of global financial controllers and finance professionals. The role may involve limited travel to our operational hub in Poland.

The role is for a qualified accountant and as such, we'll support you in your continues professional development requirements.
The UK Financial Control team manages the core trading and service companies within the group so there are a wealth of development opportunities to work with different departments and business models.

What you'll do

The role will allow the successful candidate the opportunity to input in to the establishment and development of the financial control environment and financial management framework of the IG Group UK legal entities including;
•Management and analytical review of the UK entity balance sheets
•Ownership of legal entity financial statements and monthly management information
•Oversight and development of UK entity financial control environment
•On-going ownership of FCA CASS related documents and policies
•Internal stakeholder management and business partnering

Who you'll be

•Has a keen interest in the financial markets and technology and apply this enthusiasm to support business performance
•Excellent communicator, both verbal and written with non-financial stakeholders
•Ability to work independently and take the initiative to own processes, controls and solutions
•Close eye for detail and excellent analytical skills to identify, assess and resolve issues and discrepancies
•Ability to co-ordinate multiple workflows across teams and geographies
•Hands-on approach, can-do attitude and a team player
•Right to work in the UK
•ACA / ACCA / CIMA or similar qualification preferable
•Strong Excel, Word, Power point skills
•General Ledger query tools preferable
