POSITION PURPOSE

We are looking for a quantitative-minded individual to join the Derivatives and Multi-Asset Trading Solutions team as an associate derivatives analyst to support the derivatives data strategy. The team is tasked with supporting and enhancing derivatives data processes and their implementation across all levels of the organisation. The analyst will collaborate with the trading teams, the technology teams, the investment modelling teams and many other business units to develop a successful derivatives platform.

The analyst will actively look to drive scale and enable Multi-Asset trading globally whilst working cross functionally and leveraging T. Rowe's collaborative culture.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Support DMATS in derivative data, project delivery and strategy
  • Use data to deliver business insights
  • Actively work to improve derivative capabilities, data and operational processes
  • Support research efforts around derivative implementation within our portfolios
  • Create clear, concise, high quality communications and presentations for internal and external clients
  • Support knowledge-sharing and subject matter expertise across business units

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES / SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • 2+ years of total relevant work experience
  • Programming experience in R or Python, and some experience with databases, data structures and SQL
  • Enthusiasm for investing, finance, and global markets
  • Self motivated, independent, and curious
Preferred:
  • Understanding of financial mathematics and portfolio concepts. Knowledge of fixed income securities and derivative instruments would be an advantage
  • Familiarity with empirical data analysis, statistics and optimization
  • Experience with Bloomberg
