Major US PE Real Estate firm with great deal flow and plenty of dry powder seeks rockstar Associate to join European Acquisitions team. Based in London, the successful hire will be a key contributor to continued scaling of the European business and will be actively involved in the analysis and execution of new investments across the specialist sectors covered; PBSA, senior housing and build to rent. Likely to come from a top tier PERE platform or real estate investment bank, this candidate will have exceptional modelling skills and the ability to hit the ground running in support of deals.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and execute real estate investments across Europe

• Create financial models and other quantitative analysis to underwrite potential opportunities

• Conduct market research, interacting with key stakeholders (e.g. brokers, advisors, potential JV partners) to evaluate opportunities

• Assist in preparing Investment Committee papers

• Participate in DD meetings with partners/external advisors

• Coordinate closing activities internally and externally and handover to the asset management team

• Contribute to the generation of new investment strategies/ideas

• Assist in identifying and qualifying new operating partners, as well as with joint venture structuring

Requirements: 

• Strong quantitative, financial and analytical skills

• Ability to draw conclusions from research and data analysis and communicate them effectively

• 2-5 years' experience working in real estate private equity / principal investments, corporate finance or investment banking

• Undergraduate degree from a top tier institution

• Other professional qualifications eg CFA would be an advantage

• Proficiency in at least one European language (in addition to English) would be an advantage 

• Extensive working knowledge of MS Office

• Excellent communication skills (written/oral) & interpersonal skills

• Attention to detail, rigorous approach

• Good commercial awareness with broad market knowledge

• Demonstrable interest in real estate investing
