We're looking for a well rounded and inquisitive BI Developer to join our Finance Reporting Centre of Excellence. You will work within our nascent reporting team to support the delivery of high standard, professional quality reporting to drive business insight and efficiencies. Our tools of choice are Power BI and Analysis Services and we have delivered well received revenue, cost, people and AUM reporting to date. The challenge of delivering new Business and Finance reporting is broad and varied with a wide range of reporting opportunities and a variety of data sources contributing to our reporting platform. Finance has invested heavily in our cutting edge data and analytics platform to support the business' rapidly evolving demand for insights and analytics, now and in the future, and our reporting team leverages many of these new resources.
Reporting to the lead developer, you will work on the analysis, development and enhancement of the global finance reporting suite based on both Power BI, and Analysis Services architecture. We have best-practice standards for reporting, reporting architecture, development, testing and deployment. Working to maintain these standards with both research and documentation of processes will be a critical part of your role.

You will join our small but high performing reporting team, formed within the Global Finance function at the end of 2020. The team works closely with business users and our sister teams including Finance, Corporate Change, IT and Procurement as we support the overall reporting catalogue. The main focus of this role is to expand our report development efforts and to build and maintain our growing suite of reports and dashboards. We have an outstanding track record of user growth and delivery of efficiencies and insights to our business colleagues. Our audience includes a broad range of users including our senior board and more than 600 operational users.
What you'll do
• Develop and maintain power BI based reporting and data models • Engage with colleagues to develop requirement specifications and proof of concept examples, and using reporting standards and best practices, build, test and deploy professional, low risk, high impact reports • Contribute to the development of reporting standards and documentation to ensure consistent high quality best practices are met and improved upon • Enhance the existing power BI report catalogue to ensure ongoing business changes are reflected in reporting on a timely basis • Conduct unit testing on new reports and work with the business through UAT • Support trouble shooting and error correction of reporting to maintain operational readiness • Support planning and testing around periodic application updates with advice on risks and changes to expect and benefits to be utilised • Participate in business collaboration groups to advise on development best practice and teach basic report development skills in Schroders
