This role is within the Balance Sheet and Investment Banking Control team in London
Role
The role is dedicated to the Jefferies Balance Sheet and Investment Banking Control Division.
The role offers a candidate the opportunity to be involved in the day to day reporting and analysis of IB revenue & European balance sheets, reporting across multiple periods and a chance to become key personnel in the various projects, which have a wide range in scope, which facilitate Jefferies growth.

Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
IB Control
  • Circulating revenue analysis to IB management and also to product areas/risk as necessary
  • Updating the master P&L file maintained by IB Finance for new deal P&L
  • Assisting in posting of Journals to the ledger as required for P&L events
  • Maintenance of all deal documentation/fee calculations to support any booked IB deals (audit trail)
  • Assist in expense monitoring process including liaising with the Accounts Receivable team
  • Performing ageing and analysis of receivables and payables on a monthly basis and escalating on a timely basis as necessary
  • Assisting in the production of the monthly IB pack for discussion with Finance Head and IB COO
  • Obtainment of evidence on an ad-hoc basis to facilitate internal/external auditors requests
BS Control
  • Report European Balance Sheet for various Entities
  • Understand SEC account lines under US and UK GAAP
  • Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and Ad-hoc reporting
  • Supporting manager in fielding questions from the business/ Global Balance Sheet Control Team
  • Month end accounting processes in accordance with GAAP requirements and substantiation review
  • Review control framework for BS accounts (account ownership, accounting policy, due diligence commentary)
  • Work with Operations and Finance to maintain / improve financial reporting processes
  • Ad hoc project work as required
