Banking & Capital Markets Financial Instruments Assurance and Advisory

We are recruiting for a FI Advisory and Assurance professional within BIG 4 Practice.

This position will be to provide advice, remediation support and assurance to a range of wholesale and institutional financial Institutions.  The work will be to anticipate complex business issues for clients through knowledge of front to back processes and controls, leading to recommendations for change as well as process and control improvements.

Duties in the role will include but not limited to:

  • Analysis of market disturbance through regulatory scrutiny and enforcement.
  • Work with clients to improve controls across lines of defence, being accountable for market reform within FICC Markets.
  • Enhancement of controls looking at front to back processes, systems as well as sales and trading.
  • Identify proportionate and innovative ways to enhance risk management with specific focus on wholesale banking process and controls.
  • Design and implement process and control frameworks with the end goal to increase market confidence for clients.
  • Day to day delivery of project objectives.
  • Team management when required.

Our Candidate will require:

  • Knowledge of markets regulation as well as regulatory initiatives such as FRTB, MiFIDII, EMIR and FICC codes of conduct.
  • Thorough experience of the front to back product and control lifecycle for FICC products.
  • Good project management skills.
  • Proven track record of developing and managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Current team management experience.

Further desirable skills:

  • External or internal audit experience in wholesale markets.
  • ACA qualification or equivalent.
  • Financial instrument valuations.
  • Financial benchmark reform.
  • Electronic/algorithmic trading control.
