Brexit RC Manager - Europe This role will be supporting the region and coordinating the business lines and certain countries across the Europe region to delibery against our objectives by delivering: Governance Structure Supporting and coordinating local implementation/readiness Aligns to and supports Global Businesses F2B programmes

Role Purpose:

The Role will support the following objectives:

  • Advise and support on regulatory aspects of Brexit as applicable to RC and provide input into regulatory filings,
  • Assist with the design and then implementation of the Target Operating Model for business lines as required,
  • Design and implement the TOM for RC including an enhanced HBFR compliance programme / Branch oversight,
  • Advise on and input to regulatory Brexit enquiries, preparing regulatory notifications and updates (UK/European regulators),
  • Provide input to the relevant Brexit programme work streams and governance forums.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Support the Head of Regulatory Compliance, Europe in discharging legal, regulatory and compliance responsibilities.
  • Proactive involvement in a variety of projects related to the overall Brexit programme, initiatives and business tasks
  • Day to day management of queries, issues and requests coming into the RC Conduct Europe team, and manage to resolution
  • Extensive support to manage risk and governance reporting requirements
  • Ensure the Head of Regulatory Compliance, Europe is kept appraised of material issues requiring their attention

  • Provide reports to appropriate senior management and committees covering key regulatory risks, significant reportable events, results of compliance monitoring activity and upcoming regulatory change

  • Maintain and develop positive and professional working relationships with stakeholders across the RC function, and other parts of the HSBC Group

  • Ensure consistent and high quality communications from the RC Europe Conduct team to all relevant stakeholders

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Understanding of regulatory compliance / previous experience
  • Proactive self-starter with proven ability to execute at pace
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities effectively, and focused on delivery
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with senior stakeholders
  • Strong report writing skills, and ability to draft high quality presentations
