This role within EMEA FRIBS provides a strong integration between IT and the business to ensure projects are delivered effectively. Engagement with the project management function is an important element to the role. However, functional knowledge and operational readiness are critical focus points to ensure the most efficient solution is delivered to the business. The role enforces global standards, advocating for local needs as appropriate.
Role can involve any entity globally and will change on a regular basis depending on active projects.

Role specifics
  • Drive assigned projects ensuring that initiatives align closely with business area goals. Projects can involve any global location. 30%
  • Ensure projects are planned and executed effectively in collaboration with other stakeholders including PMO and IT. 25%
  • Apply knowledge of both business requirements and systems capability to deliver best solution within project constraints. Enforce global design. 20%
  • Build strategic relationships with business areas across global sites. 10%
  • Facilitate the deployment of new technology and/or enhancements. Including organizational change management and training as required. 15%

Skills & Experience
  • Strong communication skills which adjust for seniority and diversity of audience
  • Ability to work cohesively within a team at all stages of the development lifecycle with effective input of ideas and experience
  • Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
  • Solid ability in the areas of problem solving, developing alternative approaches to problems, and in resolving conflicts
  • Capacity to view the bigger picture but to also ensure hand offs between separate processes are effective
  • Works across organizations to develop consensus and communicate decisions
  • 15+ years' experience in finance role covering transaction processing, financial and management reporting preferably in the financial service industry
  • Experience of significant project implementations and change programs
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines, exhibiting diplomacy in crisis situations
  • Ability to influence decisions and overcome resistance to change
  • Motivation of project team and business resources in remote locations
  • Leads complex and challenging business/system requirements gathering by facilitating strategic user meetings and interviewing users, and resolving issues
  • Interprets and communicates new developments and trends in the financial industry technology, and system development lifecycle methodology(ies)
  • Strategic thinker in relation to business solutions and successful project delivery
  • Commitment to organise work/life to work with teams across multiple time-zones and willingness to travel
