Business Analyst

Assistant Vice President - Business Analyst - Will be highly regarded with an excellent track record in his or her current environment. The successful candidate must be a strong, decisive, results oriented individual who can develop and manage relationships across the company and with a wide variety of partners, based on trust, teamwork and knowledge. The following details specific responsibilities for this critical role:

  • Identification, analysis and documentation of system and business requirements

  • Analysis, customization and reengineering business processes

  • Development of business process flows

  • Data conversion mapping and testing

  • Application testing, documentation and monitoring for specific results

  • Creation and update of project documentation

  • Status reporting on assigned tasks

  • Knowledge to transfer finance end users

  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.

  • Provide subject matter expertise in the required functional and application area.

  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.

  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with finance teams to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: Business Requirements Document, Functional Requirements Document, Test cases.
  • Work independently with users to define concepts
  • Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
  • Makes judgments on gathered analysis information, using flowcharting and other methodologies. May be consulted in the analysis of user interface design efforts

  • Leads the analysis of current processes and recommends solutions and improved processes; consults as subject matter expert on impact of systems changes to business processes

  • Leads and reviews draft detailed requirements and related documentation

  • Serves as advocate for business area regarding system needs and requests with various groups

  • Model and analyze business processes and assist the business in identifying ways to maximize operational efficiencies, quality and compliance

  • Identify compile, analyze and document business requirements that accurately and thoroughly reflect business requirements that accurately and thoroughly reflect business needs

  • Acts as liaison between users, developers, testers, and implementation specialists

  • Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
    EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Proven experience in the analysis, design, development, enhancement and implementation of software solutions
  • Well-versed on Oracle terminology and methodologies
  • Knowledge of Oracle R12 AP, AR, FA and I Expense modules
  • Knowledge of Markview application
  • Ability to work with Frontier Reconciliation tool
  • Ability to work on Oracle Discoverer tool
  • Ability to work on Sub Ledger conversions and reconcilements
  • Ability to work on Inbound and Outbound Interfaces to General Ledger and Sub Ledgers
  • Ability to work with multiple distributed teams across time zones
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills on Windows including: Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Visio
  • MS Project or similar skills preferred
  • Working international experience in a financial institution is desirable.
  • Working knowledge of any of the following languages: German, Italian, French is preferred
  • Ability to travel if required.
