Since 2007, our 660 consultants provide major clients (Corporate & Investment Banks, Asset Managers, Hedge Funds, Brokers and Insurance Companies) with expertise in several projects such as Financial Engineering, Quantitative Research, Regulatory Implementation, IT Transformation & Innovation.

For a French Investment Bank, Quanteam UK is currently leading one of their Business Intelligence projects, as part of Global Markets I.T. Client and Sales Facing. This technical environment provides applications to the Investment Bank Global Markets Front Office for e-commerce of both EQD and fixed income products. Amongst other things, this group is responsible for the development of the award-winning Cortex and Smart Derivatives applications.

To further enhance their offering, our client is seeking to appoint a Business Analyst / Project Manager within the GM IT Smart Data Analytics team (part of Business Intelligence and Client Reporting) with proven experience in working with the business and IT teams to analyze and define ongoing functional change within complex chains of systems and validate the implementation by actively participating to the UAT phase.

Ideally the candidate will have a good knowledge of P&L processes (regardless of asset class), data warehouse design and possibly with prior exposure to Big Data, BOT or AI.

The role is highly client facing and will involve a strong interaction particularly with COOs, Sales, Trading, Finance and Compliance in the Front Office.


  • Organise and control details of the work execution of the project, monitor project parameter
  • Translate the needs and objectives into processes, document and means to perform the work
  • Engineers and work out technical definitions
  • Report to project owner
  • Liaise with business sponsors and users  to capture business requirements and provide functional specifications
  • Define, coordinate and execute front to back business level testing and the validation of new business-critical functionalities and/or bug fixes
  • Daily engagement with users to gather feedback and details about the usage of the applications maintained by the team
  • Provide and maintain user guides
  • Liaise with Development  teams to ensure accurate functional coverage and validate test scenarios
  • Ensure all functional requirements are fully satisfied to a high quality prior to release
  • Manage and escalate risks and issues
  • Contribute to overall programme governance and be responsible for project governance within PM’s own remit



Essential skills

  • Strong experience as a PM with Business Analyst experience, ex-Software Developer or Project Manager in a trading environment
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills as well as reporting capabilities
  • Strong communication and presentation skills both verbal and written
  • Experience in defining and executing end-to-end tests on trading systems
  • Experience in defining and detailing acceptance criteria
  • Experience with working with in-house development teams
  • Experience of working in a formal project process methodology
  • Familiarity with defect logging systems and defect testing and re-testing cycles
  • Experience working with distributed teams
  • Experience co-ordinating activities within an enterprise environment
