The Americas Cross Asset Structuring team is a structuring desk that originates bespoke investment and financing solutions across a spectrum of different client bases, ranging from retail/high net-worth individuals to large institutional accounts and sponsors. The team partners with sales desks in the Americas and with trading desks globally to offer best-in-class product knowledge and deal execution.

The Cross Asset Structuring – Investable Indices team partners with the Americas sales-force to structure and distribute Investable Indices to Institutional Investors. Our team leads the marketing and development of Cross Asset Risk Premia rules-based strategies through our Global Index platform. The team is client focused, serving as the local experts on JPMorgan’s Index offering, including customizing strategies to meet clients’ investment goals.

 

Role and responsibilities

  • Develop and back-test systematic Risk Premia strategies
  • Monitor and analyze returns across the firm’s systematic strategy offerings and client portfolios
  • Prepare materials for client calls and meetings, including but not limited to: presentations on new products and ongoing market updates regarding index performance. Analysts/Associates are expected to be involved in client calls and meetings
  • Facilitate client business by responding to inquiries and pitching new ideas
  • Price and structure trade ideas, run correlation analyses, sensitivity analyses, risk metrics and return metrics
  • Manage the execution process: coordinate among sales, trading, QR, legal and other involved parties (credit, compliance, business management, etc.)
  • Define and execute on the technology and systems agenda for the Americas Investable Index business in conjunction with key partners in sales, operations and JPM technology teams

Required Skills 

  • Demonstrable experience within a markets related transactional role
  • Strong quantitative skills and intellectual curiosity. Programming experience is strongly preferred.
  • Team player with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Quick learner and desire to learn about products across assets, particularly risk factor investing
  • Exceptional attention to detail, hardworking, flexible
  • Ability to multi-task, excellent organizational skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly proficient in Bloomberg, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Bachelors degree in a quantitative discipline such as Finance, Engineering, Mathematics or Science. Masters degree a plus
